One Web 2.0 tool that I personally really enjoy is a blog. I think it is a great way for students and teachers to think and write about what they have learned and discussed inside and outside of the classroom. It enables students to relay information they have learned in a casual setting and allows for others to read the ideas and answers shared as well as comment on blog posts. It is great for teachers because they can follow and access their students' work whenever and wherever. Teachers can also comment on posts easily so the students get feedback right away. One other tool that I like is Wiki. I think it is such an easy way for students to work in groups from wherever they are without needing to meet up at specific times or change their schedules. It is also easy for teachers to access their students work and see how well they work in groups without being present. Through Wiki students are required to do their own work and submit it and this way not just one students is doing everything for the whole group.
One Web 2.0 tool that I would use on the future is VoiceThread. With VoiceThread educators are able to make slide shows including media visuals, text information and listening segments. Students (and other teachers) are then able to comment on the slides and engage in conversation with group members, teachers or a whole class. I think this would be very good to use for homework or to teach a lesson plan for students who may have missed a class day. Its a great way to teach kids in a diverse way because it includes many different teaching styles.

The technology advancement in CH 12 that I think holds the biggest promise is Cloud Computing. I think this is so because it make sharing numerous files between people easy and simple. I could use the tool Drop Box and send files with essays, pictures, videos, audio files, etc. to many people at one time and it will get there within minutes. I think this is important for the classroom so that assignments will be turned in right to the educators computer and students will have an easier time with group work and sharing information. This technology would be utilized between educators themselves to share lesson plans and other files. Students will also be able to share files between each other when working on group projects or just sharing when reviewing each others work. Teachers and students can send work, forms and lesson to and from each other whether they are at home or in the classroom.
